Finally got around to using this for some long exposures of waterfalls and the half-press focus lock worked exactly as needed. No more jiggling the camera on a tripod when trying to trigger a 10-second shot.

Used it for a 30-second exposure last night and the lock function made it easy to hold the shutter open without any vibration. Sharpest long exposure I've gotten from my camera.

Really cuts down on camera shake for long-exposure shots, and the cable length gives me plenty of room to set up without jostling the tripod. The connector fit snugly into my Nikon’s remote port the first time, no wobbling.
